HoloTECA is able to create a form of theater that is unchanged in its traditional essence, but that is updated and enriched through the use of eXtended Reality, especially hologram technology, in order to overcome perceptual barriers related to disability, especially hearing disability, thanks to the "materialization" on the proscenium of actors who speak the Italian Sign Language (LIS) and at the same time are able to bring together, and then retain, increasingly diverse audiences. Thanks to projections on holographic meshes, it will be possible to develop theatrical performances, integrating special effects to holographic recording, but also to make live recorded figures or "holographic characters" interact with real figures present on a stage.

The content recording took place at the Cineteatro dell'Opera - Murialdomani (Impresa Sociale S.r.l) in Lucera, Foggia. The project is also supported by the following partners: University of Salento, Dept. of Innovation Engineering, Lecce; AVR Lab, Lecce; XR Tech S.r.l., Lecce; Associazione CODA Italia - Figli Udenti di Genitori Sordi Sordi, Rome; Associazione Culturale "Strumenti e Figure", Lucera; Associazione Culturale "Suoni in Luce", Lucera; CityMayBe.com, Turin; Cinema Teatro and Arena Vignola, Polignano a Mare, Bari; Teatro dell'Opera - Murialdomani Impresa Sociale S.r.l., Lucera; Polo Biblio Museale di Lecce.
