The University of Salento will host “Oltre il Gioco - Gaming between Culture and Innovation”, a public event exploring video games as cultural, educational and technological phenomena.
The conference will take place in Lecce on February 13th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in Aula 2, Building 6 (Studium 2000), at the Department of Humanities. Opening remarks will be delivered by Rector Maria Antonietta Aiello and DSU Director Maria Grazia Guido, and the discussion will be moderated by Andrea Scardicchio, Director of the Master’s in Game Design.
The program will feature contributions from scholars including Luca Bandirali, Mario Carparelli, Stefano Casoar, Domenico Cuzzola, Emanuela De Leo, Danilo De Lumè, Antonio Leo, Alessia Mandato, Mattia Mangia, Stefania Pinnelli, Francesco Toniolo, and the Scientific Director of the AVR Lab, Professor Lucio De Paolis.
The initiative highlights how gaming today goes beyond entertainment, emerging as a creative language and a valuable tool for education, research and innovation.
