Otranto, Italy – XR Salento 2026 successfully concluded after five days of scientific exchange, innovation, and international collaboration in the field of eXtended Reality (XR). Hosted at Basiliani Resort and SPA in otranto organized by the AVR Lab of the University of Salento, the conference brought together researchers, academics, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss the latest advances in Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Human-Computer Interaction.

The program featured keynote lectures, technical sessions, poster presentations, live demonstrations, and research showcases covering a broad range of application areas, including Healthcare, Immersive Education, Cultural Heritage, Industry 4.0, Digital Twins, and Intelligent Immersive Systems. The event offered an excellent opportunity to present cutting-edge research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthen connections between academia and industry.
