The Interdepartmental Research Centre in Digital Humanities of the University of Salento will hold its Plenary Assembly on 8 June 2026 at the Department of Humanities.
The event will open with institutional greetings by Rector Maria Antonietta Aiello, Vice-Rector Salvatore Rizzello, and the Delegate for Communication and Research Dissemination Luca Bandirali. The programme will then include a report on the Centre’s activities, followed by a session of scientific presentations dedicated to current research topics in the field of Digital Humanities.
Professor Lucio Tommaso De Paolis will take part in the scientific session with a presentation entitled “XR and AI for Cultural Heritage: Communication and Safeguarding”, focusing on the role of eXtended Reality and Artificial Intelligence in the promotion, communication, and preservation of Cultural Heritage.
The assembly represents an important opportunity to share ongoing research activities and to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration within the University of Salento.
