XR Italia is a national community dedicated to eXtended Reality, promoting initiatives and events that connect research, industry, innovation, and professionals working in the field of immersive technologies.

The latest event promoted by XR Italia was "Orizzonti XR Italia 2026", held on 21 May 2026 at the University of Naples Federico II. The event was dedicated to the dialogue between companies and research institutions on the future of eXtended Reality, bringing together researchers, enterprises, startups, professionals, institutions, and stakeholders active in augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, and virtual worlds.

The Scientific Director of our laboratory, AVR Lab, Professor Lucio Tommaso De Paolis took part in the event, contributing to the discussion on the development and application of XR technologies and strengthening the Lab’s connection with the Italian eXtended Reality ecosystem.
